| JAMAICAN RED PEA SOUP |

- Cook beans in water on medium heat for 45 minutes. Drain, reserving 5 cups of the liquid and set aside. Saute onions, green pepper, and garlic in oil for 7 minutes. Add beans, cooking liquid and remaining ingredients except salt. Simmer for 1 - 1 1/2 hours on low. Add salt to taste.
