BAKED EMU BURGERS
  • 1 pound ground Emu
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 large onion slices
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 3 hamburger buns
    1. Combine ground Emu, salt and pepper, mixing well.
    2. Shape into six patties and place in baking dish. Top each patty with a slice of onion.
    3. Combine soup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili sauce and cheese in a saucepan. Heat and stir until cheese is melted.
    4. Pour sauce over hamburgers in baking dish. Bake at 300"F for 60 minutes.
    5. Serve each patty on a toasted, buttered bun half.
